Welcome to the weekly Wednesday Be Clean Be Green With Kids Link Up to share and garner ideas about simple ways to make family life a little easier, eco-conscious and sustainable. The ideas we share don’t have to be rocket science, so let’s help out another mom (or parent!) discover just the right idea to find a conscious cadence in everyday life.

On the blog this week…

A CLEANER, GREENER, SIMPLER YET SPLENDID BACHELORETTE PARTY IN MALIBU

Bachelorette parties can be wild and crazy and wasteful, but they definitely don’t have to be. Check out some highlights of my really great weekend with all my sisters, a dozen friends, and free of all the hassle.

BUILDING RESILIENCE WITH OPTION B

Tragedy and trauma don’t have to define us. Although they will hurt, Option B by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant offers insight on enduring hardship and moving forward without fear. Check out more about this book that has something for everyone.

MODERN MOM SERIES ~ AMY FROM MY UPSTATE LIFE

In this edition of the Modern Mom Series, I interview everyday moms who have a knack for making parenting and family life a little bit simpler and more manageable.

Amy, from My Upstate Life, has so much great insight to share about her family life in Saratoga Springs, New York. As a beginner garden with a large garden from the previous owner, I (maybe selfishly) picked her brain about her gardening skills and she packed so many good nuggets of information into her answers! Our garden currently looks like a jungle of weeds, but her ideas are golden.

Read on for some stellar book recommendations, tips for a great but low-key trip to Saratoga Springs, and her adventure to give up sugar for one month.

Now Share Your Family-Friendly Sustainable Living Ideas!

Let’s make it easier to learn how other families are finding creative ways to live cleaner and greener lives! Every Wednesday, stop by to share ideas about how your family is being clean and green. (You can also check the archives for ideas from previous weeks.)

There’s no need to be a blogger to participate. You can link up Instagram posts! Of course, you can always stop by just to see what everyone else is sharing. Be sure to Pin your favorite suggestions so you can find them later.

If you have a whole food recipe, a non-toxic DIY project, an upcycling or waste reduction trick or tip, or just an idea to help make family life a little simpler, share it below. The sky is the limit. Feel free to link up as many posts as you’d like!

There are no requirements about pinning or following or sharing in order to participate. Those kind of drive me crazy. But if you’re up for it, I’d certainly love for you to follow along with Honestly Modern on Instagram or YouTube or sign up for the bi-weekly email newsletter (which features a bunch of content that doesn’t make it to the blog).

Looking forward to seeing what’s working for your family!
